WASSAN (Watershed Support Services and Activities Network), Hyderabad since 1999. WASSAN is a network-based organisation focusing on improving the quality of mainstream programs in natural resources management and livelihoods. It engages actively in policy advocacy initiatives at state and national level mainly related to rainfed agriculture. It also provides field level support services to a large number of watershed development and other programs implemented by the civil society in partnership with communities. Currently, WASSAN has around 300 employees spread in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Jharkhand.

Period of Contract:
Contract will be for a period of 2 years after the initial probation period of 6 months, it can be extended till the project completion.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Maintain relationships and liaison with internal staff, district-level officials, concerned government departments, and external stakeholders; provide required support as per project needs.
2. Ensure convergence of various schemes and conduct timely follow-ups with department officials.
3. Coordinate with NGOs, community organizations, and government officials at different levels in project locations.
4. Ensure coordination for smooth implementation of project activities, monitoring, and providing handholding support to the field team.
5. Effectively communicate findings internally and apply learning to work plans and activities.
6. Assist in daily project management—covering organizational and substantive matters such as budgeting, planning, and general project monitoring.
7. Facilitate monthly program reviews by District Administration and ATMA, and report on project progress concerning log-frame indicators.
Required Skills and Expertise:
1. Should be competent in use of computers/ laptops and has adequate knowledge in internet etc.
2. Good communication , interpersonal and presentation skills, with an ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
3. Excellent written and oral skill in English, Hindi and Odia.
4. Identifies problems and propose solutions, generates new ideas and approaches, research best practices and proposes new , more effective ways of doing things.
5. Demonstrates extremely strong influencing and facilitation skills.
6. Shares Knowledge across the organization and builds a culture of knowledge sharing and learning. Is a team Player.
7. Demonstrates/ Safeguards ethics and Integrity

Education / Experience:
• Master’s degree in veterinary science, Rural Development, Sociology, Management, or related fields from a recognized university. Minimum 1 year of experience working in Development sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in veterinary science, Rural Development, Sociology, Management, or related fields from a recognized university. Minimum 3 years of experience working in Development sector.
Salary: As per the competitive Market standard. Deductions shall be applicable as per the organization norms.

Key Responsibilities:
● Plan and execute water conservation projects, focusing on water harvesting and conservation works across various parts of Hyderabad.
● Supervise the construction and implementation of water conservation structures at designated locations.
● Collaborate with stakeholders and project teams to ensure timely project execution and deliverables.
● Monitor project progress, report to higher management, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
● Prepare design estimates and oversee construction management related to water harvesting structures.
Preferred Skills:
● Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
● Ability to travel within Hyderabad for project coordination and site visits.
● Knowledge of construction management, supervision, and preparation of designs/estimates for water harvesting structures.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BE Civil) or equivalent.
